Foundation Years
Early Education & Discovery
I’m Carmen Mosquera, Co-founder, and CTO of Agubit Technologies. I'm a Computer science graduate specialized in software engineer. I discovered my passion for programming back in 2012 when I developed my first website from scratch using PHP programming language, at that time, I was in college pursuing a degree in Mathematics.
I needed a blog to document my math equations, problems, and solutions, but I didn’t have enough money to hire a web developer, I embarked on a self-teaching journey. Through extensive research, countless tutorials on YouTube, and investing in educational books, I equipped myself with the necessary skills. I learned HTML first, followed by CSS, JavaScript and eventually PHP.
I became obsessed with programming to the point that I contemplated changing my major, However, being in my senior year, I opted to complete my math degree while dedicating my free time to coding.
Professional Development
Industry Experience & Growth
From 2012 to 2020 I developed numerous websites including ecommerce-platforms, created a variety of games and custom software programs, and I learned three additional programming languages: Java, Python and C++. In 2018, I transitioned to a role as a data analyst at Amazon, momentarily stepping away from programming until the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the lockdown in 2020, I made the decision to return to school to pursue my computer science degree. Armed with considerable knowledge and experience in software development, I reassured myself that I could conquer the challenge. And indeed, I did. Four years later, I graduated with honors.

Over the years I acquired important skills such as entrepreneurship, leadership, organization, time management, responsibility, customer service and team work, which empowered me to transform concepts into tangible realities. As a freelance programmer, I assisted numerous clients in establishing their online presence, from personal blogs to productivity mobile apps. This endeavor helped me to pay a significant portion of my student loan, allowing me to graduate with minimal debt.

Why "Agubit"?
Agubit gets its unique name from a very special moment in my life. It all started with my son’s first words. One day, when he was just a baby, he uttered the word “Agubit.” For me, this simple word was a source of immense joy and happiness. It represented the magic of life’s little surprises. Inspired by this moment, I decided to name my technology company Agubit – a name that signifies the joy, wonder, and boundless possibilities of the digital world.
We are proud to call Orlando, Florida, our home. Located in the vibrant heart of this dynamic city, our little heaven serves as the creative hub where brilliant minds come together to transform ideas into innovative solutions.
